KINGSTON — In high school girls fast pitch action, the Sequim Wolves earned a big road win. They thumped Kingston 15-5 in 5 innings. Sequim pitcher Laney Vig pitched a complete 5 innings for the win with 8 strike outs. You have to wonder if Vig picked up any pointers when she attended last Saturday’s PAC -12 matchup between Washington and Cal. Vig also helped herself at the plate going 3 for 5 . Wolves 3rd baseman Taylee Rome had the hot bat going 4 of 5 with 3 doubles and 3 RBIs. Hannah Bates went 4 for 5 with a triple and 1 RBI. Jordan Kid went 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs.

In baseball, the Roughriders blanked Sequim 10-0. Alex Angevine led the Roughriders at the plate getting 2 hits and scoring 3 runs. Elijah Flodstrom went 2 for 2, scoring two runs with 2 RBIs. Ezra Townsend had 2 hits with 3 RBIs. Kyle Acker got the win pitching 4 shutout innings with 6 strike outs.

In tennis action the Roughriders beat North Mason 5-2. In singles, liberty Lauer won 6-2, 6-2; Waverly Mead won 4-6, 6-0, 6-2; Bella Artis won 6-2, 6-1; and Cindy Liang won 6-0, 6-2. In doubles action, Bridget Weed and Summer Hirst-Lowe lost 3-6, 2-6; Abby Robinson and Keely Peirce won 6-2, 6-4; Katie Sperr Crane and Hakoda Wyall lost 7-5 3-6, 0-1.

In golf action, the Roughrider girls out shot Olympic 223-235. Piper Williams led the way shooting a season best 43. Williams one putted her last two holes for pars. Mia Neff shot a 58, Lauryn Chapman and Claire Osterberg both shot 61s. Kaylee Schoning shot a 62 and Malena Marquez shot a 67. The Roughriders are 5-0 on the season.

The Sequim boys lost to Kingston by 7 strokes 162-169. Carter Cronin had the hot clubs with one birdie, four bogies, and 3 pars for a 39. Lars Wiker shot a 43. Cole Smithson shot a 43. Zack Thompson shot a 44, Coby Dunscomb shot a 45 and Kyle Sharpe shot a 54.

In soccer, the Roughriders beat Bremerton 1-0 in OT. Matthew Miller scored the winning goal at the 89th minute mark with an assist from Grant Butterworth. Goalie Marcus Hogan earned his 4th shutout of the season.
