In fast pitch action today, the big game is in Sequim where the 2-2 Wolves host the 2-1 North Mason Bulldogs. The Wolves are 2-1 in league play and the Bulldogs are 2-1 overall, 1-1 in league play.

The Bulldogs are led by one of the best players in the Olympic League in Short Stop Sarah Pruitt. Pruitt has already signed an L.O.I to play at Central Washington University. Pruitt is a well-rounded and popular student athlete in Mason County. Pruitt is an All-State Bowler and races in the dirt bike series and says the bike track at the fairgrounds in Port Angeles is one of her favorites. It will be a big test for Sequim Wolves pitcher Laney Vig who has been out standing on the mound for the Wolves. The first pitch is at 4:15 pm and with sunny skies, there should be a big crowd at the Wolves fast pitch field.

Wolves Pitcher Laney Vig will have a tough task against the North Mason Bulldogs

The 6-0 Roughriders are in Bainbridge and should be two touchdown favorites over 0-3 Bainbridge. The first pitch is at 4:15 pm.

In golf action, it should be an exciting day at the Peninsula Golf course as Port Angeles takes on Sequim. Both schools have outstanding coaches and players in their programs. The tee time is set for 3 pm.

There was one baseball game yesterday, Kingston beat Sequim 7-2. The Wolves are 3-5 on the season.

In soccer action tonight, Bremerton is at Sequim with a 6:45 pm kickoff.

Congratulations to Peninsula College Athletic Director Rick Ross for bringing the Washington Huskies’ national-power men’s soccer team to Sigmar Field to take on the Pirates, Saturday at 10 am. Admission is free. The Huskies lost the 2021 National Championship to Clemson 2-0 and the Huskies advanced to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament last year.  The question now that needs to be asked, will Roughrider Head Football Coach Dustin Clark seek out Kalen Deboer for a spring scrimmage with the Huskies?
