BELFAIR — In a game you heard on KONP, the Roughrider girls knocked of North Mason 60-39. It took a 5’3″ sophomore who had averaged two points per game to get the Roughrider offense going. After the first quarter, the Roughriders were tied 5-5. That’s when Tatum Moses woke up the Roughrider offense. Moses hit three, 3-point shots from the right wing. The Roughriders scored 23 points in the quarter to give themselves a 28-19 halftime lead. Anna Petty heated up, hitting five 3-point shots for 15 points. Moses ended up with 14 points. Lindsey Smith finished with eight. The Roughriders are now 7-2 in league play and 7-7 overall.

The Port Angeles boys beat up North Mason 61-40. The Roughriders travel to Olympic Thursday night and you can hear that game on Newsradio KONP.

The Sequim boys knocked off Bremerton at home 60-49. Vincent Carrizosa had game high honors with 14 points, Isaiah Moore hit for 12 points and Zack Thompson had 8 points. The Wolves play at North Kitsap Friday and you can hear that game on KONP Newsradio.

The 2nd-ranked Sequim Wolves girls as expected blew out Bremerton 60-32. Jolene Vaara hit for 26 points. Hannah Bates scored 16 points and Jelissa Julmist had 8 points.

It’s NWAC action tonight as Peninsula hosts rival Skagit Valley. The women tip off at 5 pm the men at 7 pm. The Pirate men are ranked 3rd and are 15-1 on the season.
