snow

PORT ANGELES – Forecasters have changed their predictions for snow this weekend.

It looks like the strongest possibility for any snow will be coming Saturday evening into early Monday.

The National Weather Services says, most likely the north Olympic Peninsula will get less than four inches of snow in the 48 hour period between Saturday and Monday.

Forecasters says the models are still tricky, as they are still uncertain just how much moisture will be in the area when artic air plunges over the northwest by Saturday.

One thing they are sure of, cold temperatures. By this weekend, highs will struggle to get above freezing, and lows could dip into the upper teens. The cold weather is expected to last well into next week.
