CLALLAM COUNTY – The Clallam County Emergency Management team will be deploying a mobile disaster recovery information center starting Saturday.
The purpose of the information center is to provide citizens impacted by recent storms with information and resources about recovery.
Undersheriff Ron Cameron says the mobile disaster recovery information center will be in Forks and Clallam Bay this coming Saturday, with team members who can answer questions and point to resources.
“We’ve got a handful of residents who got hit real hard. By handful, I’d say between 20 and 30 out on the west end. And there’s others that may be less effected that might want to stop by. There is information out there on how to deal with, you know, septic systems, wells, some recovery-type resources that might be able to help them with different organizations that can help them rebuild.”
They’ll be in Forks from 9:00am to 12:30pm in the Peninsula College Parking Lot on Forks Ave.
Then they’ll be in Clallam Bay from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Cape Flattery School District Bus Barn Parking Lot on SR 112. That’s across from the North Olympic Library.
Residents who are unable to attend on Saturday may call the Clallam County EOC at (360) 565-2681 for information.
