PORT ANGELES – Clallam County will give a portion of Covid-19 aid to Clallam PUD.

County Commissioners have agreed 350-thousand dollars in the federal money should be shifted to the utility district to help with customer payments.

In a work session yesterday, PUD officials said the utility has about 700-thousand dollars in delinquent or problems payments.

The county allocation is part of 15 million dollars the county was awarded in federal COVID recovery funds.

Commissioners are expected to take a final vote on the PUD’s request today
