PORT TOWNSEND – Clallam County’s health officer has a new job.
Dr. Allison Berry will now be the health officer for neighboring Jefferson County as well.
Jefferson County’s Health Board voted yesterday to add Berry in that position. Dr. Tom Locke will be the deputy health officer for the next few months during the transition.
Locke plans to continue as the health officer for the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.
It’s a full circle of sorts, prior to Berry becoming Clallam County’s health officer, Clallam and Jefferson County shared a health officer. The last person to do that was Dr. Tom Locke.
