PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce is moving to the next step of revitalization efforts for downtown.

The Chamber will host an open community workshop on July 12.   The Visioning Workshop, organized as part of the chamber’s ELEVATE PA 2026 project, will be held at the Vern Burton Center from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

“So, what we’re going to use is what’s called a scenario planning exercise. It is an exercise where people will do work, there’s a lot of thought involved, and we’ll break the audience into four groups. And in scenario planning is a tool to begin to describe the plausible future scenarios because downtown Port Angeles, could go a variety of ways.”

All interested residents, downtown business owners, and other stakeholders are welcome to attend, but seating will be somewhat limited due to COVID-19 restrictions regarding indoor gatherings.

Organizers say to ensure a diverse representation from the community, participants must pre-register, which can be accomplished online at portangeles.org.

In addition, the ELEVATE PA 2026 Steering Committee is asking the entire community to participate in a Visioning Survey prior to the July 12 workshop.  You can access That survey here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6NZG3SL
