PUYALLUP — The Washington State Fair is returning to Puyallup in September after it was canceled last year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Fair organizers made the announcement Thursday that the largest annual attraction in Washington State is back in full. The decision to hold the fair in-person follows Governor Inslee’s announcement that the state will fully reopen on June 30.

The entertainment lineup this year includes Roger Daltrey, Carrie Underwood, The Beach Boys, Macklemore, Darius Rucker, Styx & REO Speedwagon and comedian Fluffy. There will also be a full-on rodeo and Summer Con, celebrating comic books, pop culture and more.

The fair closure in 2020 was the first cancelation in nearly 80 years.

The event will take place Sept. 3-26, but will be closed on Tuesdays and on Sept. 8.
