PORT ANGELES – PNW Mobile Detailing, the folks who brought you Operation Candy Cane in December, are now putting together an Easter event at the Pumpkin Patch on Highway 101 west of Sequim.

Owner Katheryn Murray is calling it a drive-through Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt.

“So basically, each car will be given a piece of paper as they enter with clues to find at each Booth. Each booth is run by local businesses. They’ll find each clue, At the end, they’ll be given a goodie bag and a chance to win an Easter basket provided by some of the local businesses.”

Murray says she’s been working on the event for about 2 weeks, and has already lined up 10 businesses who’ll be setting up booths and 3 sponsors have signed on, but she is looking for more sponsors and monetary donations to help cover the cost of the goodie bags and rental of the Pumpkin Patch.

The drive-through Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt is set for Saturday, April 3 from 11:00-4:00. It’ll be free to attend, but participants will be encouraged to bring 2 non-perishable food items to donate to the Port Angeles Food bank.

Murray says you’ll need to make a reservation in advance in order to participate, and more information on how to do that will be announced in the near future.
