SEQUIM – A call to Clallam County Sheriff’s deputies about a stolen vehicle and the efforts of Sequim police to arrest a known burglar and car prowler converged Wednesday in the arrest of 26-year-old Sean Tamburro.

At around 3:45pm, Sequim detectives and officers were en route to a home in the 700 block of River Road to attempt to locate Tamburro, as they had developed probable cause to arrest him for multiple recent crimes. Tamburro was known to frequent the address.

As law enforcement approached the residence, one of the detectives observed the stolen truck that Sherriff’s deputies were looking for being driven in the area. The detective followed the truck until other officers could conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.

When officers used their emergency lights and sirens to stop the truck, the driver sped up and failed to stop at 2 stop signs, and caused other motorists to swerve out of its way. The truck eventually pulled into a parking lot, where officers and deputies were able to arrest the driver, Sean Tamburro.

A warrant to search the truck was obtained Thursday, where investigators discovered suspected heroin, meth, prescription opioids, drug paraphernalia and burglary tools.

Tamburro was booked on charges of eluding a police vehicle, burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, and other theft and possession charges.
