PORT ANGELES —  As of Monday, there were just six active COVID-19 cases reported in Clallam County

Clallam County health officials report 68 total positive test results since March. Now, 62 of those cases are considered recovered.

Meantime, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Clallam County remained steady over the weekend.  No new local cases have been reported since last Thursday. That’s after the county saw an uptick in positive cases in the previous ten days. Health officials attributed that increase to people gathering for Fourth of July parties.

Clallam County’s Board of Health meets Tuesday. They’ll talk more about increased COVID-19 positive tests results statewide and the impact that may have locally.

Clallam County is paused in Phase 2 of the states reopening plan. The governor has ordered all counties to remain in the current reopening phase at least until the end of the month.
