Kittitas County – A manhunt continues in Central Washington for a suspect in the disappearance of a Kent man over a week ago.
Kittitas County deputies are looking for 34-year-old Jorge Alcantara-Gonzalez, who investigators describe as being connected with the man, Ian Eckles, and was reportedly seen driving his vehicle after his disappearance. The suspect is also wanted in connection with another stolen vehicle and multiple burglaries and thefts and is possibly armed, according to officials.
Eckles disappeared from Kent on May 16. Friends said he was on his way to Liberty to meet them for a May 17 hunting party at the time of his disappearance. An area-wide search came up empty.
Investigators have since identified Alcantara-Gonzalez as a suspect and tracked him to the Blewett Pass area around Mineral Springs, but he remains on the run.
