PORT ANGELES – 56-year-old Bryan Mash of Port Angeles was arrested on Christmas Eve on a DUI charge after crashing his car in the downtown Safeway parking lot. The damage he caused included 3 parked cars, a stop sign, construction fencing and a small tree.
At about 5:00 pm, responding officers found Mash standing outside of his Buick sedan. Numerous witnesses to the collision reported that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
Mash was placed under arrest and processed for DUI evidence before being transported to the Olympic Medical Center and later booked into the Clallam County Jail.
As a part of the case work Police will ask that the Prosecutor seek restitution for damages suffered by the various parties.
