MOXEE, Wash. – A man and woman suspected of robbery were caught trying to hide in a clothes dryer during a police raid on a home in Yakima County, sheriff’s officials said.

The Moxee Police Department and the Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force assisted sheriff’s deputies with the raid on a home in the town of Moxee.

Deputies say the home was extremely unsanitary. A K-9 police dog was brought in to help search the premises and found a 31-year-old male suspect and a 33-year-old female suspect trying to hide in the clothes dryer.

The two were wanted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for a September robbery at Banks Lake Campground and Ankeny Campground near Coulee City.
