PORT ANGELES – Officials from Olympic National Park announced this morning that the four-hour delays on highway 101 along Lake Crescent will begin on Monday, October 7. The four-hour delays will follow a set schedule Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm until no longer needed.

Beginning next Monday, drivers should plan for short delays for alternating traffic as the contractor begins staging equipment and traffic revision signs.

This will be the final phase of the three-year Lake Crescent/Highway 101 Rehabilitation Project. It involves restoring the roadway width and shoulder area in front of the rock wall near milepost 229. It’s expected to last four to six weeks.
