SEATTLE (AP) — The draft contract between Seattle Public Schools, the state’s largest school district, and the teacher’s union would give double-digit raises over the next three years.
The tentative agreement reached over the weekend includes a more than 11% raise for teachers and a more than 12% raise for para-educators and instructional assistants.
Under the deal, the salary range for Seattle teachers would be about $62,000 to $124,000 by 2022.
Members of the Seattle Education Association are set to vote on the contract Tuesday.
