CLALLAM COUNTY – Clallam County Burn Restrictions will take effect July 1 and run through October 1, unless conditions worsen enough for an upgrade.
The restriction applies to all outdoor burning except recreational fires used for pleasure, warmth, cooking or similar purposes. Basically, they don’t want you burning that fence you tore down or the brush pile on your property.
Keep in mind that recreational fires are limited to 3-feet wide and 2-feet high.
If conditions later in the summer warrant an upgrade to HIGH FIRE DANGER, even recreational fires will be prohibited. The exception would be within the Olympic National Park and other controlled campgrounds.
