SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — More than 35,000 people completed the 43rd running of the annual Bloomsday race through the streets of Spokane.
The 12-kilometer race was conducted on Sunday morning.
This was the last race overseen by founder Don Kardong, who is retiring as director.
In the elite category, Gabriel Geay of Tanzania edged Benard Ngeno in a thrilling finish.
Rosemary Wanjiru of Kenya won the women’s elite race.
