PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles School District’s Career Technology Education program (CTE) is about to expand thanks to an 18% increase in funds received from the State.
The first change School Superintendent Marty Brewer made to the vocational training program was to take the CTE Director’s job from a part-time to a full-time position.
That position is held by Cindy Crumb, who will have to give up her job as Principal at Lincoln High School to take on the expanded program.

The District plans to enhance the program by reaching out to more local industries and increasing opportunities for internships and apprenticeships.

And Crumb points out that hands-on skills aren’t the only things these kids are learning in CTE.
