Carlsborg – Clallam County PUD is bringing back their Community Solar Project that gives customers the option of buying into the installation of solar panels in Sequim.

The PUD will begin selling participation agreements on Monday, April 15 for about $58. We asked Utility Services Director Mattias Jarvegren if buying in would change what a customer pays for power.

The PUD tried a similar program in 2015 but stopped it the following year for lack of participation, but Jarvegren says the State of Washington is offering better incentives now.

The project be built in downtown Sequim at the former PUD office property on E. Washington Street. It will be a 30kW facility consisting of 96 solar panels.
