SEATTLE – Prosecutors say they are filing charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder against a Seattle man accused of shooting randomly at cars and a public bus this week, leaving two people dead and two injured.
The defendant, 33-year-old Tad-Michael Norman, told investigators after his arrest that he had been in an alcoholic blackout and didn’t remember the shootings.
A police statement says he shot at drivers in three cars — one more than previously reported — and at the driver of a King County Metro Bus, who was wounded but managed to drive his passengers to safety.
Norman’s court appearance, initially set for Friday afternoon, was expected to be delayed because the charges were filed.
