PORT ANGELES – Habitat For Humanity of Clallam County is pouring the foundations today for two new affordable homes in Port Angeles, and they’re looking for volunteers to help with their goal of finishing the houses this summer.

The homes are being built in a subdivision at 16TH and N Streets on land purchased by Habitat, thanks to a generous donation by Maisie Maloney.

Executive Director Colleen Robinson says two very deserving families have been selected to purchase the homes through their special buyer’s program.

Robinson says volunteers, skilled and unskilled, are needed every weekday, no tools necessary. There are also opportunities for organizations to form teams, and those teams can be scheduled to come in on weekends.
