PORT ANGELES — Get ready for a lot more snow on the Olympic Peninsula.

Forecasters say snow will develop Sunday afternoon and night. Up to two more inches of snow will accumulate.

The area gets a few-hours pause before an even bigger storm rolls in. Starting Monday afternoon snow is expected to pick up again. This time, cold air will tap in to a stream of moisture coming from the south. That will combine over the north Olympic Peninsula to bring up to a foot of new snow by mid day Tuesday.

Winter weather advisories are up for the next few days.

The cold weather is not expected to leave the area for at least another week.
