MOUNT VERNON, WA (AP) — Authorities say the body of a 2-year-old boy who disappeared in the Skagit River last month has been recovered about 4 miles north of where he was last seen.

Duck hunters found the child’s body Thursday just off shore in Skagit Bay, according to a news release from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.

The body has been confirmed to be that of Star Rogers-White, who was reported missing Nov. 29 after he apparently drove a toy electric vehicle into the water near the south fork of the Skagit River.
