PORT ANGELES – Skylar Vestal, age 30, of Port Angeles was sentenced last week to serve 9 months in jail after pleading guilty to strong arm robbery.

You might remember this story from September 26 when Port Angeles resident Joe Sellers described at length his account of having his car stolen as he was dropping his daughter off at her mother’s house on Fairmount Avenue. Vestal was walking by and, after a brief conversation that turned into a struggle, jumped into the idling car and sped away.

As Seller’s car was burning on the side of the road, another motorist, Carrie Jordan of Forks, stopped and offered to help, but Vestal stole her car too.

Vestal was later arrested by a State Trooper and booked into the county jail.
