SEQUIM – Fire destroyed a travel trailer near Sequim yesterday afternoon.
About 2:30 yesterday afternoon, Clallam County Fire District 3 responded to a propane explosion inside of an 18- foot trailer located at 899 West Hendrickson Road.
Crews found a man inside, suffering from blistering and skin sloughing off his hands and head. The unidentified man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. His condition is unknown.
The explosion started the light fuels that were inside of trailer and when crews arrived the nearby trees were starting to burn.
The estimated loss is $10,000 for the home and the $5,000 for the contents.
The exact sequence as to the cause is ongoing.
