PORT ANGELES – If you live in Port Angeles, your utility rates are set to expire on December 31.

On Tuesday evening there will be a public hearing during the regular Port Angeles City Council meeting to receive input on the proposed utility rate adjustments for 2019.

According to a memo on the City website, the Finance Department is recommending a rate increase for your water bill of 5.4%, and an increase in your wastewater bill of 0.5%. Medic 1 will increase by 1.8%, and that was already approved last year. If the water and sewer increases are approved, your overall utility bill is expected to go up by less than 1%.

What do you think? Tomorrow is your chance to let them know. Right around 6:30 in the City Council Chambers.
