PORT ANGELES – The Marine Drive Bridge project is about to get under way in Port Angeles and will take until sometime next Spring to complete.

On or around October 15, crews will begin to install new bridge approach slabs, new asphalt pavement, traffic barriers, and new utility crossings.

Here’s City Engineer Jonathan Boehme.

During construction the bridge will be reduced to one lane, and traffic will alternate in both directions.

The city is asking that drivers plan for delays, watch for trucks entering and leaving the work zone, and slow down for the safety of the workers.
