PORT ANGELES – Another count of ballots in Clallam County has changed the outcome of one of the races.
Incumbent county commissioner Republican Bill Peach is now the top vote getter in his race. He moved ahead of former commissioner and challenger Mike Doherty by 21 votes.
The Democrat Doherty was ahead by about 130 votes after the initial round of counting last Tuesday.
Doherty and Peach will both advance to the general election. Dale Wilson was ousted from the race. He picked up another 126 votes in the Friday tally.
None of the other races showed significant changes with the Friday count.
