CLALLAM COUNTY – The body discovered washed up on the shore in Clallam Bay last week has been identified as 56-year-old Lin Wang, a kayaker who went missing on June 19 in British Columbia.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has concluded that Wang died from accidental drowning.

Witnesses saw Wang fishing from his kayak at Beecher Bay Marina near Sooke, about 27 miles across the Strait of Juan De Fuca from where he was found. Canadian officials discovered his kayak floating in that area during a 3-day search.
