CLALLAM COUNTY – A recent crime spree has come to an end with the arrest of 27 year-old Nathan Nolan and 21 year-old Autumn Paluck, both of Port Townsend, that started two weeks ago when deputies were called to a theft-in-progress at the Port Angeles Walmart store.
They arrived to find that Nolan had accumulated two full shopping carts of merchandise and was attempting to leave the store without paying. He was arrested without incident, but on the way to jail began kicking the door panels in the patrol car, causing about $500 in damage.
Ms. Paluck had fled from the store as Deputies were arriving, but was arrested a few days later. Both were eventually released, but they weren’t done.
Last Wednesday, Port Angeles Police responded to a burglar alarm at the Harbor Freight. The investigation led to Nolan, with probable cause for his arrest.
Then on Thursday, Nolan and Paluck went to a house on Taylor Cutoff where a Ford Bronco was for sale and asked to take it for a test drive. They got the keys and never came back.
Deputies later spotted the Bronco at the Longhouse in Blyn and arrested the two while they shopped.
A small baggie of methamphetamine was found on Nolan during the booking process. Charges include Theft, Burglary, Obstruction, Malicious Mischief and Possession.
