CLALLAM COUNTY – On the heels of the Port Angeles Plastic Bag Ordinance, members of the county’s Solid Waste Advisory Committee have voted unanimously to recommend commissioners consider a similar ban county-wide.
Jennifer States is a member of that committee, SWAC for short. She told KONP that reducing plastics in the environment is not the only reason for SWAC to recommend a ban:

States is also a Sequim City Councilmember. She brought the issue up in a meeting with the Sequim Council recently, and says there’s a chance Sequim will follow suit.
