Clallam County juvenile director steps down

PORT ANGELES – Clallam County’s Juvenile Services Administrator Pete Peterson is retiring at the end of June, and after 29 years at that position, is leaving some very big shoes to fill. With a career spanning 40 years in the field of juvenile justice, Peterson is seen as a statewide expert and innovator.

With last November’s strong show of support from voters in approving a one-tenth of one percent sales tax increase for the Juvenile facility, Peterson says he’s optimistic about the future of his programs, and in who he’s handing them off to:
