SEQUIM — The Olympic Peninsula’s International Footprint Association gave out it’s “Officer of the Year” award Monday evening at it’s annual ceremony, and the winner is Port Angeles Police Officer Luke Brown.

Brown, who was nominated by his peers, is a Clallam County native, a graduate of Port Angeles High School in 2000, and Peninsula College in 2003. He is also a 14 year law enforcement veteran.

Based on his performance, Brown was been sent to specialized training as a crisis and hostage negotiator.
