PORT ANGELES — Clallam County law enforcement agencies will participate in the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run this Friday, June 21. The event starts at 7 a.m. at the Laird Road Park and Ride and proceeds through Port Angeles to Hollywood Beach, where participants will meet Clallam County Sheriff Brian King and Port Angeles Chief Brian Smith.

The run follows the Olympic Discovery Trail, with support from the Clallam County Sheriff’s ODT Bike Patrol and Search and Rescue Team. A stop at 1 p.m. at North Rhodefer Road and West Sequim Bay Road will include a greeting from Sequim Police Chief Mike Hill. The run concludes in the RV Parking lot at 7 Cedars Casino, with a public celebration and merchandise sales.

This fundraiser has already raised over $3,400, including a $1,000 donation from the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe. Participating agencies include local and state law enforcement, corrections, parks, and tribal police. You can still donate at this link: https://impact.sowa.org/team/581956
