The big news of the day is that the Roughriders baseball team can clinch a tie for the Olympic League Championship with a win at Kingston today, with the first pitch at 4:15. The Roughriders beat Kingston on Friday 13-1.

The Roughriders will finish up the regular season on Wednesday against Kings High School at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, the home of the Tacoma Rainiers. That game will be broadcast here on KONP Newsradio; Oly Archibald and John Hayden will have the play-by-play. The first pitch is at 6:00.

The red-hot Sequim Wolves will host Olympic at 4:15 today.

In tennis action, North Mason is at Sequim with the first serve at 4:00.

In soccer action, Port Angeles travels to Bainbridge with the kickoff at 6:45.

The Peninsula women’s soccer team had a GPA for the Winter Quarter of 3.4, while the men had a 3.5 GPA.

A huge letter of intent arrived on the Peninsula Campus over the weekend. Makena Patrick of Anaconda signed her letter in front of family and friends at Anaconda High School.  From Montana, both parents played at Peninsula College…Makena’s Mom, Tiffany, is in the Hall of Fame.
