PORT ANGELES — Peninsula Pirates basketball coach Allison Crumb has secured the third commitment for the 2024 recruiting class: Bobbie Skyy Ragsdale, a 5’10” forward from Westside Christian High School in Tigard, Oregon.

Ragsdale led the Eagles to a commendable 20-7 record, clinching the Lewis & Clark League Championship and securing a spot in the Class 3A State tournament. She was honored as a Lewis & Clark All-League Honorable Mention, averaging 9 points and 6 rebounds per game in her senior year. Ragsdale joins Makena Patrick of Anaconda, Montana, and All-State Neah Bay Red Devil Ryana Moss in this promising Pirate recruiting class.

Meanwhile, two Peninsula Pirates, Javon Ervin and Ese Onakpoma, have been named to the JC All-American Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Their exceptional sophomore seasons and leadership guided the Pirates to a successful campaign, culminating in an appearance in the NWAC Tournament, despite a coaching change and a perceived rebuilding phase. Both players are currently weighing multiple offers from four-year schools.

In other NWAC news, Amber Swan and Ezrah Ray from the two-time state champion Neah Bay Red Devils have committed to NWAC powerhouse Columbia Basin College in Pasco.
