PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles Dream Playground is seeking volunteers with woodworking, construction, and other skills to join the community build during the week of May 15 – 19.

Skilled workers are defined as those having experience with woodworking tools such as routers, compound miter, table, jig, reciprocating and circular saws. Skills in framing, building, and finish carpentry are extremely helpful. Volunteers using power equipment must be at least 18 years of age.

Available shifts for skilled workers are listed at the sign-up website.

Meals will be served for on-shift volunteers at 7:30am, 12pm and 4:30pm.

The goal is to get the Dream Playground open by the time local kids are out of school for the summer, but that timeline depends on organizer’s ability to recruit enough volunteers, and especially skilled workers.
