PORT ANGELES — An incident at the Clallam County Correction Facility on April 11,  led to the re-arrest of an inmate just as he was being released. George Parrish V, initially held on a charge of Physical Control, is now facing a Class C felony charge for custodial assault after attacking a corrections sergeant.

Authorities report that while being escorted back to his cell in the process of release, Parrish suddenly turned aggressive and struck the sergeant with a closed fist to the arm. His hostility escalated as he also attempted to kick at deputies. The responding officers quickly subdued Parrish, employing a full-body restraint system known as “The Wrap” to prevent further injuries to both staff and the inmate.

This specialized restraint system is designed to ensure the safety of all involved by minimizing the possibility of harm. Following the altercation, Parrish was promptly rebooked into the facility under the new charges.
