The report came in shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Kitsap Sun.
Police Chief Matt Brown said it was too early in the investigation to give details on the age, sex or identity of the individual. The police department will release more information as it becomes available.
Police coordinated the recovery of the body with South Kitsap Fire & Rescue.
In another case, the body of a 40-year-old Everett man was found Sept. 11 north of the Port of Poulsbo Marina.
